NCLUSD approves plans for three projects

Three projects will soon begin operations within the Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District after the district’s board of education members unanimously approved the proposals at last week’s general and special meeting.

After more than a month, the Gustine Unified School District Board of Trustees has found its newest member.  

Evelyn Gimlett was selected as the district’s Area 4 representative after the board unanimously voted for her to serve the position following interviews with the finalists during the open session portion of last Wednesday‘s special board meeting.

Ethnic studies course coming to Orestimba High School

With less than a year until the next academic year, Orestimba High School has been preparing for implementation of an ethnic studies course requirement.  

Assembly Bill 101, signed in October 2021, will require incoming high school students to take an ethnic studies course for a semester as a part of a requirement to graduate. Per the assembly bill, students will satisfy the requirement by doing one of the following:

Flames secure win in flag football playoff opener

Last season, the Lodi High flag football team lost to Ceres High School in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs, ending their inaugural season on a sour note. Former CSUF employee sentenced to life in prison

CSUF advances to March Madness with win over Long Beach State

Despite falling behind by 14 in the first half, Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament as the team defeated Long Beach State, 72-71, in the Big West Tournament championship game.
